This was Emily's first beach experience. She was not scared to go close to the ocean, but as soon as the water washed over her feet, she hated it! She did however, enjoy the sand (she even ate it, ugh!) and finding shells. She was able to see crabs, porpoises (there was a whole pod right past where the waves were breaking!) , pelicans (she really liked watching those fly over) and of course a few dogs that people had brought down to the beach.
We took a trip to the aquarium too, and she enjoyed looking at the fish and reptiles. She also got to see some otters playing and brought home her own stuffed otter!
